The Heart of Chiang Mai Detox
Welcome to our family. We’re here to look after you with kindness and simple, honest care, helping your body and mind feel whole again on this healing journey.

Gee
Founder & Program Director
The Guru of Fasting. A nick name that has been well-earned! A humble man who has lived an extraordinary life; from beach boy, where drugs and alcohol were flowing unlimitedly to Entrepreneur. Gee has certainly lived a colourful life and along the way he has grown his knowledge and skills by listening, learning and respecting the wisdom from all the tourists, friends and colleagues he has met. Gee’s philosophy: nothing in life is free. The sooner you get REAL about what you MUST do to achieve wellness, the happier you will be! He accepts NO EXCUSES. He is a true professional who transitions through resistance with ease. Where there is a will, there is always a way AND he proved that his unlucky start in life (homeless at 14, in poverty and suffering from addiction) was not going to define him. The key was having a positive and unlimited MINDSET which only supported ACTION, effort & hard work. What you do, pays. WHAT you avoid, always comes back to bite you! So, he never tries to solve a problem with another problem, he prioritizes doing whatever it takes to live a happy life. The approach he offers is SIMPLE: eat only what you need, do what you MUST and stop complaining. View life through the lens of gratitude and opportunity and you will find wellbeing.

Junn
Driver & Program Co-ordinator
Junn is often the first friendly face guests meet at Chiang Mai Detox. He welcomes you at the airport and brings you safely to the retreat, helping you feel relaxed and cared for from the very start of your journey.
Each morning, Junn leads guided walks through the beautiful Chiang Mai countryside. With a calm, steady pace and a warm smile, he helps guests reconnect with nature, breathe more deeply and gently wake up their bodies. These walks are often a highlight of the day — a quiet time to reflect, move and enjoy the surroundings.
As Program Coordinator, Junn also works behind the scenes to keep the daily schedule running smoothly. From walks and treatments to talks and activities, he makes sure everyone is in the right place at the right time, so guests can simply follow the flow and focus on their healing.
Reliable, patient and always willing to help, Junn brings a sense of ease and order to the retreat. His care and consistency help create the safe, supportive environment that makes deep detox and transformation possible.

Beng
Housekeeper
Beng is a vital part of our team, ensuring every guest feels nurtured in a spotless and serene environment. As our dedicated Housekeeper, she meticulously maintains the retreat so you can focus entirely on your healing. With her gentle presence and incredible attention to detail, she provides the quiet comfort of fresh, tidy spaces that support your mental and physical detox. Beng works tirelessly behind the scenes to make Chiang Mai Detox feel like a true home where you can rest and recharge with complete peace of mind.

Am
Masseuse
Am brings gentle, healing hands to Chiang Mai Detox. As one of our Masseuses, she supports guests through the physical and emotional ups and downs of detox with calm presence and deeply nurturing touch.
During fasting and cleansing, the body can feel tender, tired or tense. Am’s massages help ease tight muscles, improve circulation and encourage the body to release what it no longer needs. Her work supports the detox process, making it more comfortable and helping guests sleep more deeply.
Quiet and caring, Am listens not only with her ears but with her hands. She adjusts her pressure and technique to suit each person, creating a safe space where guests can fully relax, let go and receive.
Whether you arrive feeling stressed, sore or simply in need of comfort, time on Am’s massage table often becomes a favourite part of the retreat — a moment of stillness, warmth and genuine care.

Kim
Co-Founder & Program Director
Originally from the UK and now calling Thailand home, Kim refers to herself as “Tinglish.” Her journey began in her 20s when she felt trapped in a cycle of unhealthy habits, long working hours, and physical exhaustion. Reaching a breaking point, she traveled to Thailand for a 14-day detox retreat. The experience was transformative; beyond the physical cleansing, she regained a profound sense of mental clarity, enthusiasm, and hope. This shift taught Kim a vital lesson: we are what we eat and we get what we do. She realized that instead of dwelling on past mistakes, she had to take full responsibility for her well-being. By letting go of self-pity and embracing honesty, she began a new chapter of health and self-improvement. Since 2004, Kim has shared this wisdom with thousands of visitors at Chiang Mai Detox. She believes that while the journey requires effort and full participation, the rewards of vitality are worth it. Her approach is simple: stop the avoidance, prepare yourself for change, and prioritize the actions that lead to a better life.
Kim is ready to help you walk the path toward your own transformation and looks forward to welcoming you.

Kung
Chef & Housekeeper
Kung is the quiet heartbeat of Chiang Mai Detox. As our Chef and Housekeeper, she does a little bit of everything — from preparing fasting juices with care to helping guests with their daily needs.
She is often the first to notice when someone needs an extra blanket, a different pillow, or simply a kind smile. Her gentle presence and attention to detail help guests feel safe, supported and at home, even while they are going through deep physical and emotional cleansing.
In the kitchen, Kung keeps things simple, clean and nourishing. Whether she’s preparing fresh juices, broths or light meals, everything is made with patience and love. She understands that when people are fasting or detoxing, the smallest details — the right temperature, the right flavour, the right timing — can make a big difference.
Around the house, Kung quietly keeps everything running smoothly. Rooms are fresh, spaces are tidy and the retreat feels calm and organised, allowing guests to relax and focus fully on their healing journey.
Kung may work mostly behind the scenes, but her care is felt everywhere. Her kindness, consistency and hard work are a big part of what makes Chiang Mai Detox feel like a true home away from home.

Tip
Driver
As our dedicated driver, Tip is often the first welcoming face you’ll see. With her warm smile and calm nature, she ensures your arrival is smooth and stress-free. Whether she’s providing airport transfers, running the evening city shuttle, or assisting with local errands, Tip handles every journey with care and reliability. By managing all the logistics, she allows you to stay fully present in your healing process, knowing you are in safe, capable hands throughout your stay at Chiang Mai Detox.

Ari
Masseuse
Ari brings warmth, strength and calm to Chiang Mai Detox. As one of our Masseuses, she supports guests through the physical and emotional intensity of detox with grounding, deeply restorative bodywork.
During fasting and cleansing, old tension, stress and emotions often rise to the surface. Ari’s massages help release tightness, ease aches and encourage the body to let go of what it no longer needs. Her touch is both firm and caring, helping guests feel safe, held and supported.
Attentive and intuitive, Ari listens carefully to each guest’s needs. She adjusts her pressure and focus to match the body in front of her, whether someone needs gentle relaxation or deeper therapeutic work.
For many guests, time with Ari becomes a daily anchor — a quiet space to breathe, soften and reconnect with themselves. Her presence and skill play an important role in making the detox journey more comfortable, nurturing and complete.
A Simple, Realistic Approach
Getting well doesn’t need to be complicated — it starts with small, honest steps you take for yourself. With real rest, a calm space, and a daily routine of activities, we will guide, encourage and support you through your fasting journey.
