Transitioning from fasting to eating requires time and patience. Whilst you may be dreaming of eating all of your favourite dishes, this could overwhelm your digestive system so the KEY is to take it SLOW. The first, most easy to digest foods are high water content fruit and vegatables. Soups, salads and vegetarian proteins support the body's production of enzymes and digestive ingredients so that you can successfully break down and absorb all of the delicious nutrition. By taking a GENTLE approach, you will reap all of the rewards. Break with the wrong food and you will inevitably SUFFER and undo all of the benefits of your cleanse. As STEM cell production continues, it is also wise to support the renewal of healthy, highly functioning cells versus low / poor grade cells. Remember;

You are what you eat and you get what you do!

The length of your stay will determine the period of breaking fast. As a rule of thumb, halving the number of fasting days is the optimum period. For example, if you fast for 10 days, you'll need to following the breaking fast guidelines for 5 days.

DAYS 1 - 3

On the day of your departure, we will serve you some home-grown organic papaya. This delicious fruit contains enzymes that will help your body restart digestion. Chewing slowly will be important and flexing your new found muscles of self-control will be easy as you enjoy the taste, texture, smell and pleasure of eating again. Add a squeeze of fresh lime and your tastebuds will be tantilized.  For lunch and dinner we recommend salad or soup with seasonal vegetables and plant based protein. Grains, cereals and starchy carbohydrates will be too heavy at this stage so opt for root vegetables like sweet potato, carrot and pumpkin. If you are staying in Thailand after your program, they'll be plenty of options to enjoy.

Days 4 - 7

Wholegrains (ideally pre-soaked) can now be introduced along with eggs and fish. Opt for organic if possible and chew thoroughly. If you feel tired after eating, that's normal as these ingredients require more time and effort to break down. The emphasis on whole natural, seasonal ingredients is key so that your body can thrive on the dense nutrition. Eat slowly and mindfully, stop when you are full and avoid drinking whilst eating. Drinking will dilute your saliva and enzymes, inhibiting proper digestion. If you can wait 30 minutes after you've finished your meal before introducing liquids, your body will adapt well.
